CEO and Founder
Tijen is the founder of Global Digital Women. She lives for and loves networking. Her credo “No lunch break without company” is practiced in many canteens. Already in 2015, she organized the first “afterworks” and events with the Women in E-Commerce initiative, and brought together women from the digital industry to form the largest women’s network in the field of digitalization. Now comes a new milestone. Inspired by her trip to the USA, Tijen wants to promote the international exchange of decision-makers and founders of the digital industry.
Prior to becoming a founder of her own company, Tijen Onaran worked for European and Bundestag deputies, for the Federal President’s Office as well as for associations and a university in leading positions.
In addition to GDW, Tijen is an author, presenter and consultant in communication and digital. You can read her regular columns at WirtschaftsWoche Founder, Handelsblatt, Futurezone and Lead DIGITAL.
Marco is the man in the back office and the glue that keeps it all together. Marco studied Political Science, business administration and sociology in Trier and completed his MBA. He passionately devotes himself to the figures of GDW, organizes events and supports Tijen in strategic matters.
Mirja is responsible for diverse programs and partnerships at GDW, including the infamous #GlobalAfterworks. Her mission is to make the digital landscape more diverse on very continent and empower the next generation of digital female leaders through GDW. Through her own international experiences in West Africa, Latin America and the U.S.A., she knows what it takes to build an international community. In addition to her work at GDW, Mirja gives workshops on storytelling and movement-building.
Toni is the backbone for the development of Global Digital Women. As a project manager for strategic projects and business development, she is constantly looking for new opportunities to grow GDW worldwide. So far Toni has gained a lot of experience in various companies & projects and is currently completing her Master’s degree in Strategy & Organization at the University of Witten Herdecke. Toni’s goal is not only to make the world #more #digital and #female, but to create a strong platform and source of inspiration for all women in the world and to put new projects into practice.
Cem is one of our working students and supports the whole GDW team. He is currently studying computer science at HTW Berlin. With him we not only got ourselves a Feelgood Manager, but also another Onaran on board.
Paul & Leo
Paul, once formerly known as Darth Vader from Brieselanger Licht, is now also known as Pauli (nickname). Pauli is noble (sometimes he thinks so too). And if you leave your socks lying around for him to collect somewhere, you can be certain that you have won his heart forever!
Leo – our graceful, sporty and empathic companion. Shiny coat, bright brown eyes and dream team with his brother Pauli.
